Identification of <i>Lactobacillus</i> and <i>Bifidobacterium</i> 16S rRNA Gene in Breast Milk of Some Healthy Women in Kinshasa (DR Congo)

Breast milk is important for infant health. Some of its benefits are due to the presence a specific population bacteria in microflora. However, microbiome breast influenced by many parameters such as maternal diet, breastfeeding and geographic location. Culture non-culture methods have been used studies this bacterial worldwide. But DR Congo, there was no study reporting use culture-independent techniques characterize diversity human milk. The aim identify 16S rRNA gene from two genera Lactobacillus Bifidobacterium. also identified four species: reuteri, rhamnosus, Bifidobacterium longum lactis. This analytical cross-sectional conducted Kinshasa. some healthy women collected February 2 28, 2018. A protocol using classical polymerase chain reaction (PCR) gene. 68 samples were sterile condition. bacteria-specific ribosomal detected 91.18% 32.35% at genus level. At species level, only reuteri 89.71%. other could not be amplified.
